On Saturday May 8th, Fabulous Furry Folk will host 'For the Love of the Land' - an evening of earthy folk music in celebration of Old Beltaine on the Saturday evening of the annual 'Megalithomania' stone circle conference at Glastonbury Assembly Rooms. Headlining the evning will be Glastonbury eco-pagans 'Silver On The Tree' who make high energy magic music to stir the soul, with vocal harmonies and traditional instruments. Supporting will be a capella troubadors Ed & Will A-Walking-O who have been collecting and singing folk songs - on foot - throughout England and Wales in recent years, and have earned themselves a reputation for highly entertaining and authentic performances. Also appearing will be the ever-popular Forcenra, featuring the songwriting and vocals of Dora McKinley, and Pok, previously of eco-bardic band The Spacegoats, who to us seems to embody the archetype of the travelling space-minstrel! All the above can be found in our 'top friends', and we are proud to be hosting such an array of lore and magical lovelight in Glastonbury on Old Beltaine...
