Copyright H.Newman Feedback from 'The Temples of Megalithic Malta' Tour 2025 ![]() "I have been on 5 Megalithomania Tours (Egypt, Stonehenge, Orkney Island, Eastern Turkey, and Malta, from which I just returned), and every single one has been exceptional in every way. The tours are well thought out and perfectly executed to see as much as possible with the time we have. All the tours are so well planned that you don't miss a thing, and each person is treated as a special guest. There are also special events like private viewings, music offerings and parties with the host country people that are not required but added as special treats for the guests, and always highly appreciated. The hosts, Hugh, JJ, sometimes Andrew Collins, and others, make our trip informative, safe, and fun. They look after everyone and are well prepared for any eventuality, as well as being great people who succeed in creating a wonderful environment for us travelers, keeping up spirits and always ready for a laugh. I need to walk with a cane, so whenever I am thinking about a tour, I ask Hugh if he thinks I can do it, and he is always honest with me, telling me if it would be too much for me, instead of just saying "Sure, sign up". I appreciate this honesty and integrity, it tells a lot about the character of the people in charge. I trust them, and that is a basic necessity on any tour. The guides are unfailingly top notch, super well informed, and happy to go out of their way to answer any questions we may have. The hotels have always been top rate and the meals included have always been abundant and delicious. I have never had a problem on these tours, even though I walk with a cane. Hugh or one of my fellow travelers has always been there to help me across bumpy terrain or big stairs. Which brings me to the best part, the fellow travelers. Never fail, the people that are attracted by these tours are always well informed, intelligent, super friendly and just plain fun. I can't say how much we laughed on every tour, but we also learned a lot! Fellow travelers make lasting friendships due to the very close relationships fostered by mutual curiosity and camaraderie. I hope I have made it clear that I can not say enough good things about Megalithomania, the people and the tours. For me, This is the best way to travel, see new things and have a wonderful time to boot! So even if you don't care about " a bunch of rocks", you are guaranteed a wonderful trip, great company and insightful views of a new land." "This was my 4th trip with Megalithomania, and frankly, it was the best one yet." - Colleen McGuire, USA "Another unforgettable experience with Megalithomania, this time to Malta, home of some of the oldest man-made structures on Earth. Including the enigmatic cart ruts, which we visited in many locations on mountains, over cliffs and into the se. A disparate group of curious explorers from all over the globe were conglomerated into a rock-hard cadre of adventuring friends in just a few hours. Making the trips to museums, castles, temples and CART-RUTS (more accurately parallel grooves) all the more enjoyable and intriguing. Well done Megateam, the local guides were first-rate as was the accommodation, food, support and transportation. The evening lectures were entertaining, forward-thinking and engaging, everyone joined in, well done Hugh and JJ. Can't get this anywhere else. Don't waste time with ordinary tours. Looking forward to the next trip." "Thank you, everyone, for a fabulous induction into Megalithomania. We loved every minute of being part of such a great group of people. A very big thank you to Hugh, JJ, Joan, Chris, and Henry (who took us to the Hypogeum) for making it all happen. We're looking forward to meeting up again on more Megalthomania tours. And having lots more online discussions in the interim about cart ruts!" - Martin and Sue, USA "Thank you to everyone on the Megalithomania tour for a fabulous adventure in Malta. It was great fun and very inspirational and informative. Joan's deep knowledge and love of her homeland is infectious. Thank you to Hugh and JJ for all their support and great leadership. Hopefully see some of you on future Megalithic journeys." - Anne Soppet, USA "Hugh, thank you so much for leading this amazing tour and in the process pulling together the most amazing group of people! I enjoyed meeting every one of you and look forward to seeing you out there again!" - Janine Beaudette, USA "Just wanted to thank everyone for teaching me and guiding me this week. As I newbie, I always felt welcome in the group. Many great conversations with you all. So grateful for such a wonderful group of stellar free thinkers! I look forward to doing this again to learn more. What a fun journey!! Thank you! " - Dan Cox, USA Feedback from Malta and Gozo Tour 2024 "This was my second trip with Megalithomania. Each of them left unforgettable memories. I usually travel around the world alone - that's what I like the most, but trips with Hugh and JJ are not only filled with a lot of knowledge and visited places, but also a lot of laughter and good humor. Moreover, all the people who take part in these expeditions are keenly interested in ancient history, so in your free time you can engage in very interesting conversations. The technical organization is always exemplary. - Bernadetta - Poland/England
